The Concept Behind
Phase independent
Our tool offers support in any phase of software development: Test scenarios can be prepared early during the analysis of requirements. It allows to facilitate functional tests during the implementation and to carry out regression tests. Eventually, with the qualification test and the acceptance test, all results of the previous and further tests can be included. Furthermore, your test data will automatically be migrated as far as possible when it comes to modifications and extensions, minimalizing the manual expenditure in adaptation to a great extent.
User independent
Unit tests or component tests often are seen as typical IT tasks , which means that these are carried out mostly only by the developer staff. We are rather of the opinion that in advanced software architectures, from a professional point of view, the interfaces of components and interfaces definitely can be, and even have to be, tested and approved from the business user's point of view.
Our solution does not only integrate tightly into the development environment of an the software developer, but can also be deployed as a stand-alone application for non-technical users. This allows all users to work on the same test basis, completing it by both, the technical and business test view.
Language independent
By principle, our solution is independent from the programming language used for the implementation. The tool can also be adapted by using a specific a plug-in for machine support in interface analysis. No matter which programming language (COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, Java, C, C++ etc.) you are using for the implementation, our solution will always be the right one.
Platform independent
The concept of our solutions allows its use independent from the target platform. Thanks to the flexible plug-in architecture, the specific platform components can be easily replaced and can also be adapted to any required platform. Due to this, a homogeneous solution will be achieved, even for heterogeneous technical infra-structures, in particular also in mainframe (like z/OS under System z).
savvytest with new features and increased usability

We just released the new version 1.3 of our software product savvytest. In its latest release, the test tool for IBM System z mainframes brings a lot of of improvements and new features to the user. The new release will be presented to the public at the Swiss Testing Day on 14th March in Zurich.
As a completely new feature, savvytest 1.3 supports the user in finding violations against the deterministic principle which are usually not easy to identify. ...
