We have just released S/Notify 4.1.1 for Jira and Jira Service Management 10, and this release marks an important step. It is the first time that we publish a separate release for the latest Jira version only. This means, it provides no functional changes except the compatibility with the latest Jira release.
As Atlassian has released Jira 10 which comes with significant changes under the hood, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain our S/Notify Email Encryption app for both Jira and Jira Service Management at the same time as well as across all Jira releases. Therefore, we are considering to release S/Notify as separate apps for Jira and Jira Service Managements in the near future, starting with Jira release 10.
What does this mean for customers of S/Notify Email Encryption for Jira?
If you use S/Notify with Jira (or Jira Software), nothing will change. Just keep using and updating the S/Notify app as you used to do.
If you use S/Notify with Jira Service Management, once you update to Jira Service Management 10+ (the specific version is yet to be determined), in order to continue using S/Notify, it will become necessary that you uninstall the app and install the new one. Nothing else will change, and your existing configuration will be taken over.
With regard to existing subscriptions, we are working with Atlassian to credit the fees for the remaining subscription period in one way or the other. Details will follow as we know more.
